Great view of the river, Mussels to Die For This restaurant offers a truly beautiful setting right on the marsh. The views alone are worth the visit. While the signature Bloody Marys weren't to my liking, the mussels were absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, plump, and flavorful, they were easily the best I've ever had. The accompanying sauce and bread were equally delicious. The service was a bit inconsistent, but the quality of the mussels and the stunning location make this place a worthwhile experience.

While on a recent trip to HHI I wanted to come here for thanksgiving dinner, sadly I was overruled, but I made it the day after. I got to watch the sunset at the outdoor bar, then the front of house took amazing care of my group when one of them forgot to finish reservations. They even got us tables next to each other. The food was so tasty, I mean perfectly prepared and oh so tasty. The staff were amazing as well. I highly recommend if you read this, you should come here for dinner.

There are some places you just have to visit due to their location and/or view. It might be the space needle in San Antonino or a coffee shop on the side of a mountain, but seeing is believing. Now whether the food is any good or the wine list is of quality, that's secondary. And initially I would say the same about here. But I said it as a motivator for you to visit, not to demean their food. Because their food, oh it is delicious! I just am making clear that the view and the patio seating is not to be missed. Since I have discovered this place it is a must-visit every time I am at HH. And I will wait for the outdoor seating. And with the number of tables, the feel is akin to a family cookout. Everyone is relaxed, having a great time, and getting more full by the second. Now the menu is fairly consistent, but I have seen items come and go so if one of these is not present when you go I apologize. I start off with the jalapeno hushpuppies. Hushpuppies and seafood are just meant to be and the heat from the peppers are offset by the honey butter that accompanies it. I have a hard time not emptying the basket while waiting for the main course. The crab cake is also delicious as is the lobster bisque. They've been known to have she crab soup as well. Of all the main dishes I favor the blackened Carolina catfish. Basically because it checks all the boxes; pepper, regional, and catfish. You can say what you want about that bottom feeder, but it is delicious when cooked right. And if my stomach still has the space, the chocolate peanut butter mousse takes me home. Airy and gone in a few bites. I have always, always had top notch interactions with the team here; from check in to check out. They are as happy to be there as I am. Maybe that's because they get to enjoy the view on a constant basis. If you are in the area, be sure to stop in!

We went to Fish Camp on Broad Creek for dinner, earlier this year and came back on Friday night (Sept 6th). We're glad that we did. This place is always crowded, even after Labor Day. The locals know how good it is. Get a reservation before driving there. Even with a reservation, there was a bit of a wait. We found a couple of stools at the bar and decided to order dinner there. We started with fried oysters on deviled eggs. Had never tried this before but it was a very good combination. For dinner, I had sauteed scallops and Bethany had a seafood risotto with lobster, shrimp and mussels. We were in seafood heaven. If you're dining here around sunset, be prepared to take some photos. The view across Broad Creek is gorgeous.

Had reservations for dinner inside and we had a wonderful meal! We were seated right away and our server was efficient and nice. The food was delicious. We especially loved the jalapeño hush puppies, crab cakes, and filet. The jalapeño margarita was spicy and refreshing. We would definitely come back for another meal. I highly recommend reservations. Knocking off one star because after dinner we headed outside out back and it was a mess with abandoned glasses and plates from guests who had left- all over the couches and sitting areas. Maybe it was just bad timing but it was a mess.

What a fantastic place this was! We decided to go to dinner while here in Hilton head. We went with a somewhat large group. When we got there we had about an hour wait. Normally waiting at a place can be a bit boring, but not here! They have some various different things you can do. I was entertained by playing some corn hole. It's also right next to a bay and a marina that you could walk to. Some other folks in our group grabbed some margs. Lots of cool photo op spots as well for your friends or family. When you think of a by the water restaurant, this is what I envision. The atmosphere is incredible and not something you can find at home back in Indiana! After about an hour or so, we were finally seated. Since we were with a lot of people we ordered some apps. We got the hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, and calamari. I tried a little of each. I particularly enjoyed the calamari, but all of them were great! For dinner I got the southern fried flounder. It came with fries and homemade slaw. It was served on kind of a weird plate/bowl thing but I could get past it. The flounder was delicious! I really enjoyed it! The fries and slaw were fine. I was really happy with what I chose. All the other food looked great. The service was fine, nothing to write home about but it did the job. They were really busy so I wasn't expecting anything over the top. Like I said earlier, when I think of picturesque and fun places to go on a beach trip, this is a place you can think of. I absolutely loved it and if I come back to Hilton head this will be on my list to go back. Thank you for the great time!

We had another great dinner at Fishcamp last night. The food and service were both great. We started with appetizers - Hushpuppies, calamari, and fried green tomatoes. All 3 were good. Hubs had the seafood pasta, which looked great. I decided to try the tripletail, which was served with a cream sauce, corn risotto, and asparagus. Everything was delicious. Everyone else was happy with their meals as well. Make a reservation during high season, or the wait can be lengthy!

We came here for lunch with our 2 dogs to sit outside. The view of the Creek was nice and they also had corn hole and other seating set up if you wanted something different than a table. We got a table under an umbrella on the deck next to the bar. They have plenty of regular low top tables, bar seats, and high top tables outside. They even have spare dogbowls and a water station for your dog. Inside is decorated in wood and has booths and low top tables. Our server Jackson was very helpful & good-natured. He helped us get water for our dogs and didn't even flinch when water from a recent rainstorm poured down on him from an umbrella unexpectedly. For an appetizer, I got the she crab soup. It was AMAZING! Lots and lots of crab. The flavor was on-point and with plenty of sherry. Highly recommend! All seafood is local per our waiter Jackson. Everything looked like they breaded it right there at the restaurant. Hubby got the fish and chips. The flounder was good size and served with plenty of french fries and a side of green slaw. Fries were very good and perfect to use some malt vinegar on, which I asked for and thankfully they had some. I got the fried seafood combo. It was a smaller piece of flounder, shrimp, and oysters with a side of french fries and green slaw. Michael got a local beer called Crab and I got a bottle of Blue Moon. You MUST get the key lime pie here. It is soft, creamy and flavorful. They topped it beautifully with blueberries and strawberries. It was such a pretty dessert !

We actually came because Ben Lewis was supposed to be playing here with his wife Monday nights this summer. Sadly, due to the weather (they would be playing outdoors), they had to cancel because of the rain. Fortunately, the food was delicious. I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband ordered the seafood risotto. Our kids got the kids macaroni and kids shrimp. I also got the crab cake and it was yummy. You can taste more crab than filler which is what I like. We had one server named Greg who basically got our drinks and orders and then he got released because they had too many servers and not many customers due to the rain. Our next server who took over was named Lou. She was funny and personable. Over all the food was good and other than some dampness being outside everything was great. We would come back, hopefully Ben will be playing next year when we come back!
